Jennifer B Cutler: Habs vs Islanders game preview, Julien's 1000th NHL game as head coach The Montreal Canadiens host the New York Islanders Thursday night in Claude Julien's 1000th game behind the bench in the regular season as an NHL head coach. The return of 5 questions.

1) Will Claude Julien get a victory in his 1,000 NHL game as head coach?
Yes, Habs will win this.

2) How will Alex Galchenyuk fare on the top unit of the Canadiens powerplay? Is it the spark to get him going again?
I have no reason to believe Galchenyuk will look any better than he has in the last few weeks, I'm convinced something is up with that young man that is not hockey related.

3) Are Julien’s lines and defense pairing going to stay the same all game?
Yes if things go well, no if things don't.

4) Andrew Shaw broke his goal scoring drought in the Rangers game. Which Canadiens player will break theirs tonight?
Lekhonen has looked good in the last two games, he's overdue for a goal... it will be an ugly one.

5) What will be the final score?
4-2 Habs with an empty netter.

Yup.

2) How will Alex Galchenyuk fare on the top unit of the Canadiens powerplay? Is it the spark to get him going again?

I think he'll be good on the PP, but it won't get him going on 5v5.

3) Are Julien’s lines and defense pairing going to stay the same all game?

Yes. He'll want a bit of stability.

4) Andrew Shaw broke his goal scoring drought in the Rangers game. Which Canadiens player will break theirs tonight?

I agree with Byron.

5) What will be the final score?

Agian, I agree with 4-2 Canadiens.

Since they're not good at those he's there to take a penalty and make it 4 on 4.

Dont like the idea of #27 on the first PP. I l liked what I saw the last game with 27 & 47 on the 2nd unit, let Weber be the center of the first one, then keep the other 2 to make sure the 2nd unit is a threat too !
